Biking Tours (NEW):
We offer bicycle tours of Pinckney Island National
Wildlife Refuge, one of the top birding sites in South Carolina. Leisurely
explore the island's deverse ecosystem. A highlight of the tour is
Ibis Pond. This freshwater pond is bustling with the activity of herons,
egrets, ibis, and many other birds as well as alligators and turtles.
This tour has been very popular and bikes are a great way to see the
flat but otherwise facinating terrain of Pinckney Island. For
more about the refuge view the U.S.

Hiking Tours (NEW):
Looking for something a little more "low
impact"? Water-Dog offers a 1½ hour interpretive hiking
tour. This trip traverses through the salt marsh and woodlands to
one of our favorite places in the Lowcountry, Ibis Pond. The walk
is led by an interpretive naturalist who will point out and discuss
many of the finer points of this pristine island. Water-dog offers
a hands-on approach while still maintaining a leave-no-trace policy.
